For Bookham™, we looked into the feasibility of producing hexagonal glass rods for an optical communication system. The work was aimed at re-engineering the glass piece part. STC Optronics successfully identified the glass composition, found potential suppliers of the glass and found a company capable of machining the required glass shape.
