OUR RECENT WORK Mansol (Preforms) Ltd |

During the past five years STC Optronics has undertaken a number of failure investigations * for Mansol (Preforms) Ltd. Of these the most important one was the identification of contamination of a preform glass with lead oxide – this only became visible after firing in a reducing atmosphere. We successfully identified the cause and sourced an alternative glass material with no lead contamination.

* STC have also helped deal with some 30 different companies on various technical enquiries including identifying new glasses for a range of applications. Several of these glasses have been added to Mansol's range of glasses used to make preforms.
